SYKL is an abstract expression of changing seasons, and the emotional qualities associated with them. It is a sequence of motion experiments with an attempt at fusing movement into my sketchbook doodles. The gifs are an exercise in instilling life into these drawings and documenting a personal journey of the time and whimsical thoughts that I live through them. Though the context of the drawings might be personal in nature, one hopes that the abstraction in the visuals resonate distinctly with every viewer triggering their own set of intimate and peculiar experiences. The cycle of seasons is used as an analogy to complement the repetitive forms and motion facilitating a meditative involvement with the audience. Creating experiences that are slightly different from the previous, yet in familiar settings; the gifs are a melancholic appreciation of the seemingly ephemeral but periodic recurrence of certain feelings, experiences and pervasive thoughts.
